The National Reference Centre on Mercury is located at the Institute of Atmospheric Pollution Research of the National Research Council in the North of Rome and is part of the CNR Research Area Roma-1. This facility is in the municipality of Montelibretti and is easily reachable by a number of transportation options:

How to reach us 

 
By  Trayn
      From Termini, Rome's central train station, take Metro Line B (in the direction of Rebibbia) to the Tiburtina Stop. Continue by catching the FR 1 Train, stopping at Pianabella Montelibretti. To check train timetables visit the website www.trenitalia.it and enter your destination as “Piana Bella di Montelibretti”
 

By Air
      From the Fiumicino Airport, take train FR 1. Disembark at the "Pianabella Montelibretti" stop. There is also a shuttle service to/from the airport, departing the CNR on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9.40 and returning to the CNR Headquarters from the airport at 11.00 on those days.
 

In the Car

   

From the A1 Autostrada (Milan - Napoli), take the Fiano Romano exit, continuing in the direction of Rieti onto the Via Salaria, in the direction of Rome. After about 5 km, take a left towards Palombara Sabina (at 29.3 km on the Via Salaria), onto "Via della Neve." 

      From the A25 Autostrada (Pescara - Rome) that merges with the A24 (Aquila - Rome), after passing Tivoli, take the GRA (the large ring road encircling Rome) in the direction of Milan, exit at Fiano Romano, and continue in the direction of Rieti onto the Via Salaria, in the direction of Rome. After about 5 km, take a left towards Palombara Sabina (at 29.3 km on the Via Salaria) onto "Via della Neve." Alternatively, you can also exit the Autostrada at Roma Sud, turn right at the GRA (the large ring road encircling Rome) and then exit, departing Rome on the Via Salaria, in the direction of Rieti. Travel on the Via Salaria until you reach the 29.3 km mark, where you take a right onto "Via della Neve."
